Monitor liquid reservoirs with a float switch
By admin | March 26, 2009
A float switch monitors the quantity of liquid that is in a given reservoir, the number of float switches found on most machines is quite large varying in size composition and complexity. With many reservoirs in areas on machines that would be difficult to get to under normal use float switches are used to enable an operator to check that each part of the system is functioning correctly a sudden drop in fluid level often indicating a break in the reservoir or a leak further along the fluid chain. Switches are normally able to give an information feed to a computer elsewhere enabling many machines to be monitored from one point.
