The Patent Cooperation Treaty Means Worldwide Protection

I always learn something new when I visit my brother Greg. The last time I dropped by he was working on a new invention. Greg always has something he is improving, but this time he had actually created a useful process. He was very excited about it and explained how he plans to get in manufactured and sold. When I asked if he didn’t need a patent, he said he is getting an international patent, thanks to the Patent Cooperation Treaty. It seems that several countries have formed an agreement allowing an inventor to apply once and get idea protection in several countries. This time I think Greg just may have hit the jackpot.
