Google Place Ranks is a new and innovative way that Google is advertising the best places around town. It is very similar to the way Google does site rankings. On the internet Google ranks site by popularity, depending on how many people visit the website, or how informative it is or just how popular it is. Place Rank uses a similar system, only it involves the real world. Establishments are lucky enough to have a Google PlaceRank will have an official Google will have a bar code place somewhere in the front of their business. When this bar code is scanned, all the information about the business is brought up. If you are a t a restaurant, everything from the menu to the ratings to comments is brought up for.
