Gas fleet car production
By admin | November 1, 2008
Gas fleet cars are cars designed usually for government or bureacratic purposes. The government usually commissions a company to design a whole bunch of gas fleet cars. Police cars, taxis, ambulances, postal trucks, and other state and national cars are designed in bulk and sold at discount prices to the government. The benefits are that the cars are easier to update because a single model is sold to all police departments, for instance. However, fleet cars have contributed to the downfall of some American auto manufacturers because foreign competitors have jumped in and filled the gap that generations of ugly fleet cars have left open. Foreign competitors realized that American consumers did not want such ugly vehicles, and they helped with the problem accordingly.
