Co-Worker Looks for Assistance From Debt Management Company

My co-worker told me yesterday that her husband was in a car accident in London and is no longer able to work. She said that she does not make enough money to keep them going financially. She asked me if I knew anything about debt management companies. Unfortunately, I did not, but I suggested that she go online and do some research. I am sure that there are many companies that can help her negotiate a lower payment with her creditors or extend the terms of their current contracts. The debt management company would not be able to get rid of the payments, but they might be able to make the payments more affordable.
