As we head into winter, here in Christchurch, the leaves are falling from the pear tree in our back garden, and the winter conference season gets under way.This garden city is home to a steady stream of conferences through the year, and winter has more than its fair share of them. Even in a colder part of New Zealand.One reason is to do with the size of this city. We are over 400,000 people. There is a bulk and movement in the city. Not a big red light district, or even bar and clubbing area. But a hustle and bustle to give our setting some vibrancy.Then, we are an international airport, and a gateway, perhaps the gateway, to some fine New Zealand skiing, wine making and ocean tours (whale watching and dolphin swimming etc). So we have out-of-conference options to offer people who come to the conferences.And, of course, we have venues. There is a full range of them, and you can probably find a conference center in christchurch for your needs — if you book early.
