The American Red Cross

The American Red Cross is the United States’ premier emergency response organization. It was founded in 1881 by prophet leader Clara Barton to render humanitarian care to the casualties of war and helping victims of devastating natural disasters.
As time passes by, the service of the American Red Cross expanded by adding humanitarian services in five (5) more branches including the following: “(1) community services that help those who are in need (2) help and comfort for military members and their families (3) the compilation, processing and allocation of lifesaving blood and blood products (4) educational programs that promote health & security (5) and global relief and development programs.”
