Nurses Fatal Error Is Grounds For Lawsuit

By admin | May 30, 2009

My uncle was a patient in a nursing home, and he had a gastric tube that was used to provide his food. One night, he choked on some of the liquid and it went into his lungs, causing pneumonia. That was a risk of having the tube, but the nurse caring for him failed to cross check the antibiotic that he was prescribed against his allergies, and he died after he was injected with it. When we called an Indiana malpractice attorneys firm, they assured us that we had a strong case. My uncles widow was awarded financial compensation, and the nurse who made the error was held legally accountable for her mistake as well.
