Hair loss treatments: aerobic exercise

By admin | January 29, 2008

The other day, I was working out at the local gym — and I made an offhand remark about my thinning hair. My trainer responded by telling me that aerobic exercise has been shown to be one of those ineffective hair loss treatments. It seems that aerobic exercise in man lowers the level of free testosterone in the blood — and this can have a definite impact in slowing hair loss. Like most men I guess, I’m not a big fan of aerobic exercise — I’d rather work out with weights — but his comments and insights have given me a new reason to make sure that I hit the treadmill on a regular basis.
