a family devising treatments

My poor father suffered with painful hemorrhoids for years. Ultimately, he was convinced to have surgery, but until that time, my sister and I lived in a household that look for home cures for hemorrhoid treatment. My sister and I thought my father was teaching us wives’ tales when he lectured us about not wearing clothing that was too tight or wouldn’t let our skin breath, or to be sure to drink plenty of water. My mother was an advocate of getting plenty of fiber, and was pretty forceful about gong to the bathroom immediately when we felt the urge. Now I find out they could have written a book on these home cure treatments!
