Car Insurance - what you need to know

Car Insurance is a confusing field. Every day we are bombarded by advertisements for car insurance, all of which promise to save us a fortune by finding out how much every other car insurance company will charge, and telling us, and then telling us how much we can save by switching to their company. This seems counterintuitive, as presumably they can’t all save us money compared to each other. Living in Massachusetts, it’s even worse. Massachusetts now has a system of what is apparently called “managed competition” for car insurers, which the state seems to think will prevent Bay Staters from being ripped off. Whether or not that is true, what it definitely does mean is that none of the pretty insurance ads we see on television – you know the ones, like where President Palmer from “24” promises we’ll be safe in his big, comforting hands – are applicable in pseudo-commie Mass. Oh well, back to the confusion.
