Maintenance of Used Aftermarket Wheels

By admin | August 30, 2010

With due diligence, you can land a good pair of barely used aftermarket wheels that will make you car pop. Aftermarket wheels are a good option for most car owners because they are more affordable and they are lighter. However, they deliver the same kind of performance and durability as OEM wheels. When it comes to maintenance used, aftermarket wheels are easier to clean and wash. Most of them are made of alloy so they are very strong and do sport a smooth finish, which you can maintain with a good buffing every once in a while.  After cleaning your wheels, use a good quality wax or car polish to gently polish the surface of the wheels. You can also coat the wheels with a protective coating spray to prevent break dust from forming sediments on the wheels.Clean the inside of the alloy rims to improve the look of your wheels. Experts advise using a wet sponge rather than a wet cloth when cleaning your alloy rims to avoid scratches.
